I feel your pain as I have spent more money restoring three different Zs over the past 7 years than I ever got back on resale when I got bored and wanted to move onto another restoration. However, doing what you did to a salvage car doesn't seem like a good idea from the start (even without all of your engine woes). But your focus on burnouts in your sti behind Farmer Joe's makes me think you're a bit immature as I have plenty of bad days but wouldn't be abusing my toys to blow off steam. Good luck...I think your best bet is a part out...do it before the baby arrives...as you will have zero free time during the baby's first year of life (and not much more free time in the following years of life).
